About Me

Short Gamer Girl

You can learn a lot about me from the title of the blog! Big surprise huh!!! I am really short, as in 5 foot on a good day, and I love to play video games. I am mainly into the classics, but also love the new stuff.

Books, Coffee, and Chocolate

Might as well include an insight to more about me besides video games! There are 3 things I am "addicted" to... books, coffee, and chocolate. The only things a girl ever needs in life!! The one rule we have is to not let me near a bookstore with a credit card. It's for this very reason I have two book shelves OVERFLOWING with books. Plus I might have a box or two hidden under my bed :-)

Why Not Blog About Video Games??

I decided to make this blog more about me till I got on my feet enough to support my video game blog. I want to be able to give a more in-depth reviews then just what I've heard about them. I might still do it, but I don't have the time right now. So until I can support my video game habit, I decided to get my life on track!

Me being my normal dorky self

The Most Important Part Of My Life... Family
My family is the one most important part of my life. My family is extremely close, and they mean the world to me. I definitely put them before me. Thought I should introduce some of my family that you might be hearing about!! (I'm not going to use names unless I get their OK)

MY PARENTS
The reason I'm short. Both of my parents are short. Especially my mom :-) My parent's have been divorced since I was little. My mom is definitely the person I look up to the most. She is a very strong (and sometimes very stubborn) woman. Plus she is brilliant. She knows how to have a good time, she is extremely friendly, and she is an extremely gorgeous woman. She taught me to love unconditionally, to make the best of a bad situation, and she taught me how to be a woman.

My father and I have recently become more close. I wish I had his handle on money and his amazing pool-playing! My dad taught me to ride motorcycles since I was really little, and I love it! My dad got married to my step mom, who then brought along my two step-brothers.

MY SIBLINGS
I have 1 younger sister and 2 older step-brothers. I love my sister to death! Yes, she drives me absolutely crazy and we use to not get along, but I wouldn't give her up for the world. I must say I am extremely jealous of her fashion sense!!! She got married in 2011 and recently moved to New Hampshire with her hubby, which is awesome for her but I can't even describe how much I miss her.

My step-brothers are awesome! They are both extremely talented with playing instruments. My older stepbrother is now married with two kids, whom I can't get enough of! They are the most beautiful and bright little kids I have ever known.

THE LOVE OF MY LIFE
Our story is definitely a bit different. We have sort of known each other since first grade, but "ran into each other" in high school. Zach, my sister, and I all went to the same school (until my sister went on to a different high school). My sister and Zach were in the same class in school, while I was a grade ahead of them. Zach and I went on to the same high school.

When his class came into the high school, I had an instant crush. We ended up hanging out with the same people, ate at the same table together, and happened to have the same good friend but we never really got that close. I will never forget that Zach told me the one thing he first noticed about me was my height... Fitting lol. One day at the end of my junior year I decided to let him know that I liked him. I asked him if he was going to an event the school was putting on that weekend, and when he showed up we were the only ones from our group there for a while. I ended up hanging out with him the whole time and flirting. The next week, he asked me out and we have been together ever since. Funny facts: Our first kiss was on a short bus and our first "date" was at the ruins of an old mental hospital...

Fast forward to today (2012 lol), we have been together for 6 years and are engaged. We don't have a date yet since we still have a ways to go before being ready (mainly financially). Of course, I'll keep you posted on that :-)
