Just some things I had to share!
Blog
I happened to stumble upon this post on Pinterest that I HAD to share! Especially since I'm starting a blog and trying to get organized at the same time. All I can say is Becky is brilliant! It's set up to make blogging simple, it's easy to plan post ideas, and it's all laid out in the most simple and easy-to-understand way! Another bonus, she makes it so you can download and print it.
I am debating about just using her idea, but the problem that I run into with it is I don't care about my statistics... I'm doing this for me. I might change it to be more of a goal type of deal, maybe change it to be a workout/blog thing... Hmmm I'll have to draft up some ideas....

Room
Another Pinterest stumble :) I want to do something like this for my room.
Maybe not exactly that, but something VERY similar. I just love the look of it and how organized it is. Once again, I'll have to design a few drafts and make it more... me. And I'll have to figure out where to put it...

Bills
This one I am completely using all of it and not changing anything. I have a very hard time organizing my bills, and this just makes complete sense to me! Behold the easiest way to organize your bills!!!!
It may seem like it would only work on a small scale, but I guarantee it can work for people who have bills overflowing. Just use this as a place to start. I would suggest also having a filing cabinet for the end of the year (or maybe every 6 months) cleaning of the binder.
The idea is that you write down when the bills are due on the handy calender page. Put the bills you have to pay still in the front pockets of the binder. Once you pay it, take your handy red pen and write paid on the bill, the date you paid it, and cross out the bill from the calender. Then simply hole punch the bill statement, and put it in the tab that corresponds with the type of bill. This is when I suggest still having a file cabinet or something to file the bills in. If it is important enough that you have to keep it, file it in the cabinet just like you did the binder. The other bills can get shredded after the year or filed if you feel the need to keep them!

Fitness
Yikes!!!
The other day, a friend and I met up for coffee like we usually do. She just got married and was showing me pictures from her wedding when we came on a picture of me and her... All I can say was I guess I never realized how over-weight I am. I know that I could stand to loose some weight, just never realized how much...
Skinny in School
It's hard when you use to be a really skinny girl in highschool, then of course the freshmen 15 plus the weight gained from birthcontrol. In total, I've gained about 40 to 50 pounds since highschool. Yikes!!!! And it doesn't help that I'm a tall 5'0". Off to the internet I went. I looked at my BMI (body mass index) and according to it, I'm at 32.2.... Obese.... Talk about a downer!! To put this into perspective, I weigh about 165 right now and I need to be at about 110-120. I need to loose 40 to 50 pounds. My problem is I can't seem to stay motivated at home, so I started looking into gyms. I have a Curves here, plus there is one in Long Beach where my fiance's family has a beach cabin. Seems like the most logical one, plus it's catered specifically to women and they have Zumba!! I've always wanted to try Zumba :-) I'm going to call and figure out how much a membership will cost, then I'll go from there. I don't have a lot of money to spend each month, but if it means I'll stay motivated and loose weight then I'll definitely try it.
The Reasons
You need to set goals and have reasons why you really want to do something (or so I've heard..). Mine:
1. To be healthy
2. To feel sexy again (don't get me wrong, I do now but I'd feel a lot better)
3. For my fiance
4. To prove that I can do something I put my mind to
5. For my wedding!
6. For myself
Wish me luck!!!

Change of Plans
So, it has been a while!
These last few weeks have been crazy. I went on an amazing vacation and got to see my sister (who moved to New Hampshire in April) as well as family I haven't seen in forever, I have been busy at work, and to top it all off my truck broke down!I admit I have been really bad on starting to work on my stuff.I could make every excuse in the book, but I'm not. I feel horrible after making the promise to myself. So, today it starts!!!
Change of Plans
We all know that our situations in life are always changing. Unfortunately, mine has taken a change that I can't ignore. I have taken a closer look at my financial situation, and I have no choice but to pick up a second job (for now). Since I have no savings to speak of, bills that wont go away, and things that need to get fixed, I have to pick up a second job.
My Goals:
1. Get into better shape and loose 30 pounds
2. Get all my bills organized and starting to pay them off
3. Create a budget
4. Organize my stuff (including getting rid of a lot that I don't need or use)
5. Get a second job
6. Open a savings account and put a definite amount in each month
Calender
My goal for today is to get a calender going. It is going to have everything on it, all laid out so that I have a defined plan. I find that things tend to happen a lot easier if planned out. Of course, some things in the calender will be penciled in just in case.
Yeah... so that is where I am at right now. Love you all and hope you have an amazing day!!!
My plan
"A goal without a plan is just a wish" - Larry Elder
"You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream" - C.S. Lewis
I am pretty certain that my plan will be constantly changing and evolving. It may not work the first time, but I am not going to let it get me down. To start with a plan, I need to know what my goals are.
My Goals:
1. Get into better shape and loose 30 pounds
2. Get all my bills organized and starting to pay them off
3. Create a budget
4. Organize my stuff (including getting rid of a lot that I don't need or use)
5. Get back into school
6. Open a savings account and put a definite amount in each month
I think I am just going to start there :-)
